Village Shops: There are two excellent butchers in the village which also supply a delicatessen, household goods, fruit & vegetables etc
Macelleria Remo is on the right hand side of the road, as you go through the village to the main road after the church.
Macelleria Cortopassi (on the left corner as you turn on to the main road SS 439) Andrea and his wife Francesca also run a small restaurant, Il Ciancino, which is next to the shop and is open at lunch times Monday – Saturday and also on Thursday & Friday evenings.

Both Remo and Andrea also supply a delicatessen, fruit & vegetables etc….
There is also a baker & a general store in the village.
Bar: Il Cigno is a good bar serving great coffee & pasticceria.
Pharmacy: Farmacia Novelli Before the bridge at Ponte San Pietro is an excellent pharmacy with a doctor’s surgery underneath.
Farmshop: The Bigongiari brothers run a farm shop selling their own beef, pork, veal, chickens, cheese and ham. The farm is also home to a pair of the rare Monte Amiata donkeys. Turn right onto the Via Sarzanese (SS439) over the little bridge and then turn right onto the Via Farneta, taking the right hand fork onto the dirt road. Follow the road to the farm yard.
Pizza: Da Cologero just over the bridge (Ponte San Pietro) –on the left hand side, as you drive towards Lucca, is a very good pizzeria. They also do takeaways.
Nave (on the SS 439 to Lucca)
Supermarket: There is an excellent COOP supermarket (going down the road to Lucca on the left hand side behind a large yellow furniture discount store called Mercatone) before the traffic lights.
Fish shop: At the traffic lights on the left hand side there is a very good fish shop which also has a small restaurant, which is open for lunch.
Sant'Anna (on the SS 439 to Lucca)
Fresh pasta: La Sfoglia d’Oro Via S. Anna (opposite the church at the cross roads) has excellent lasagna & fresh pasta.
Lucca
There are many good shops to explore but here are a few:
Icecream: Both the Gelateria Veneta, on the Via Veneto and Santini on the corner of Via S. Paolino/Piazza Cittadella are good ice cream shops, they also sell excellent takeaway puddings.
Wine merchant: Marsilio Constantino, Piazza San Michele has an interesting selection of local, national and international wines and spirits.
Pastries: Pinelli, Via Santa Lucia, between Piazza Napoleone & Piazza San Michele is a good pastry shop and bar.
Delicatessen, wine bar and restaurant: Il Cuore, on the corner of Via del Battistero and Piazza San Giusto, is a delicatessen with a restaurant hidden in the back and on the opposite side of the street is a bar and wine tasting room.
Bars: Da Simo, Via Fillungo, where Puccini took coffee & played chess.
Stella Polare, by Carabinieri offices, Piazza Napoleone, tasty antipasti served early evening with your aperitivi.

Outside Lucca:
Pieve Santo Stefano, Lucca – Lombardo, family run simple trattoria. Closed Monday & Tuesday lunch.
Sesto di Moriano – Antica Locanda di Sesto, Via Lodovica tel: +39 (0)583 578181 Family run restaurant established first as a coaching inn…. see the date on the door! Closed Saturdays.
Clothing:

Iza Pini , is a stylish jeweller located in the Piazza del Anfiteatro.
On the Via Fillungo is an excellent men’s clothes shop called Tennucci, they also have a women’s clothing shop on Via Arancio.
Fabrizio Giovanonni’s Cashmere House, on the first floor of Via Veneto 37, is a secret gem making made to measure cashmere for men and women using yarn from Loro Piano & other top quality suppliers.
The chic shopping seaside resort of Forte dei Marmi is only 40 minutes away where there is also a weekly cheap & cheerful fashion market on Wednesday & Sunday mornings.
